The Magician by ILNP

The Magician is a limited edition polish topper from I Love Nail Polish (ILNP) that contains the most coveted of polish pigments, that mythical thing known as unicorn pee. A shifting pigment that goes between green, yellow, gold, orange, and in some lights a fiery red. This pigment is said to make any polish more beautiful and magical in any light, there’s only one way to test that out, so let’s get to swatching it.

Each of the swatches shown is two thinĀ coats of “Memento Mori” by Cirque and one top coat of “The Magician” all topped off with a coat of Seche Vite quick Dry top Coat. All images are shown under natural sunlight bulbs as well. To watch the live swatch featuring more base colors on a swatch wheel click here.

“The Magician”

“The Magician” definitely lives up to it’s mythical reputation as you can see above, it even makes my little nubs look sexy, despite their obvious ugliness, they’re getting bigger though guys!

I tried this over a bunch of other colors as shown below, they are listed in order from left to right beneath the picture so if any certain color strikes your fancy you can pair them up. If you want to see the colors in different lights then visit the swatch video linked above. Because unfortunately by the time I photographed this the sun had gone down and I only had artificial lighting to photograph this under, which doesn’t bring out the effects as well.

The colors shown are:

  • Memento Mori – Cirque
  • After School Boy Blazer – Essie
  • Mirajane – Zoya
  • Evergreen – Zoya
  • Pine Boughs – Colors by Llarowe
  • ATV In Aruba – Glisten & Glow
  • Bungee Jump in the Bahamas – Glisten & Glow
  • Wind Chill – Colors by Llarowe
  • Saint – Zoya
  • Oliver – Zoya
  • Less Whine, More Wine – Serendipity Polish
  • Snorkel in St. Thomas – Glisten & Glow
  • Birthday Bitch 2017 – Vapid Lacquer
  • Firestarter – Vapid Lacquer
  • Big Spender – Essie

I absolutely love this topper and honestly don’t own anything like it the fact Barbra made it a reasonable price as well instead of insane due to it being a pigment that is not even made anymore is just as amazing as well. Currently this is showing as out of stock on the site however it has been posted that they have it that way as they catch up on orders and then evaluate what is left to list it again to be purchase. So keep an eye out for that if you missed out on it during the pre-order period!
