Glam Polish Heroes vs. Villains Fan Group Exclusives (March 2017)

If you’re a hardcore fan of Glam Polish like I am then you likely already know about the Glam Polish Fans group on Facebook, however if you do not then I suggest clicking the link and checking it out. Each month Glam Polish creator, Rachel Griffin, releases two fan group exclusives only available to those included in the group on a limited edition basis. Once they’re gone, they’re gone, so these are super beautiful super limited edition shades.

This month the theme for the fan group exclusives continues to be “Heroes vs. Villains” and pits Belle against Gaston with the shades “A Most Peculiar Mademoiselle” and “My, What A Guy That Gaston”. This was an unusual pairing in my opinion, but I loved it despite that, I never really saw Gaston as the evil in Beauty and the Beast, but it definitely fits. As always the polishes are gorgeous as hell too.

Each of the swatches shown is two thin coats of polish and one top coat of Seche Vite Quick Dry Top Coat unless otherwise noted. All images are shown under natural sunlight bulbs as well. To watch the live swatch click here.

My hands are very pink/red from cleaning agents (mainly bleach, it gives me a rash) used just a little while before making the swatch video for these. Ignore the ugly skin focus on the gorgeous polish!

“A Most Peculiar Mademoiselle”

“A Most Peculiar Mademoiselle” is a beautiful pastel blue base jam packed with holographic microglitter and some iridescent flakies that have a green to blue shift throughout. This shade is gorgeous and is perfectly befitting of Belle, it has a sparkle in the light and a beautiful glow. This went on in two easy coats, I was a little heavy handed on the second one, so if you use very thin layers of polish it may take three coats.

“My, What A Guy That Gaston”

“My, What A Guy That Gaston” is a beautiful polish filled with holographic microglitter, iridescent flakies, and 24 karat gold flakies. This can be worn as it’s own polish alone, or as a topper and goes well with a lot of colors.  It is shown below on a swatch wheel over quite a few colors.  I only put on two coats for the images above, but as you can see it covers really well even in just two coats on it’s own.

Shown here from left to right is “My, What A Guy That Gaston” over the following:

  • Memento Mori – Cirque
  • Magic – Cupcake Polish
  • Stopping Traffic – I Love Nail Polish (ILNP)
  • Pine Boughs – Colors by Llarowe
  • Hearts On Fire – Colors by Llarowe
  • It’s Electrifying – Glam Polish
  • Lo – Zoya
  • Big Apple of My Eye – KB Shimmer (Polish Con Exclusive)
  • ATV In Aruba – Glisten & Glow
  • Snorkel in St. Thomas – Glisten & Glow
  • You’re Cruisin’ For A Bruisin’ – Glam Polish
  • Paws Off What Doesn’t Belong To You – Glam Polish
  • A Most Peculiar Mademoiselle – Glam Polish

As you can see it is gorgeous over all of these making it an extremely beautiful and versatile topper as well as gorgeous shade to wear on it’s own in three to four thin coats.

Overall I love both shades. I did have my doubts when the duo was announced I thought we’d get a yellow and a blue asic colors, but Rachel went above and beyond once again to bring us some awesome and unique shades and I looove them. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next month. As always I suggest joining the Glam Polish Fans group on Facebook, not only because of the exclusives, but also because it’s full of awesome people who share a common love of Glam Polish!
