The Summer Citrus Trio from Painted Polish is a gorgeous trio of linear holographics with slightly larger holographic glitters in them that are absolutely perfect for any Spring or Summer mani. To make the trio even cuter they’re each given an adorable named after a popular Summer citrus including lemons, limes, and oranges. I picked these up at Polish Con Chicago last year and have yet to swatch them insanely enough, but have used them in plenty of nail art over the past few months, now with Summer coming around again I felt like breaking them out to swatch and show off!
These are all still available you can snag the entire trio for just $30 or the polishes are available individually for $12 each. Either way you choose to snag them they’re awesome and definitely the perfect Summer staples for the brightest and best manis for under the Summer sun.
Each of the swatches shown is two thin coats of polish and one layer of Top Coat from Glisten & Glow unless otherwise noted. All images are shown under Ottlite bulbs as well. To watch the live swatch click here.
“Orangeade Obsession” is a gorgeous bright orange linear holographic with slightly larger gold holographic glitter throughout. This goes on in two smooth coats and has a bright orange fire throughout that radiates and makes it one of my favorites in this trio. I love using it in sunset gradients and pairing it with bright oranges, reds, and pinks.
Limeade Luvin 2.0
“Limeade Luvin’ 2.0” is a lime green linear holographic with a bright yellow and light green fire throughout. This went on in just two coats as well I definitely expected it to take three, but it didn’t. Warning though in the first coat it does go on seeming a bit more yellow than green however on the second coat more of that lime color comes out and it is charming.
“Lemonade Lust” is a sunny bold yellow linear holographic, it is shown here in just two coats as I did not feel a third was needed under regular lighting you cannot see my nail tips and even here under my brighter photography lights it barely shows. This is so sunny and happy a color and I cannot wait to combine it with some others in a few fun gradients!
Overall the entire trio is a perfect bright holo filled bunch that give off a definite Summer vibe, even as half of us are still stuck in the thralls of cold depressing weather more fitting of Winter. Now is where I would usually grumble about the fact it snowed today, but in an effort to keep this more bright and fun I’ll abstain from that, snag these if you love them as I have a feeling when Summer comes around again that they will likely sell out very fast!
