The Experience The Islands Collection from Glisten & Glow is a four polish collection of beautiful cremes. I was actually sent this collection as a prize from a contest group on Facebook, the Nail Art Contests & Chat group, which hosts a bi-weekly nail art contests and randomly chooses a winner from all of the entries provided. It’s a fun group and I was excited to win and get this collection from it, this collection is amazing, the cremes go on extremely smoothly, most of them in one coat one or two of them in just two. Each of the colors has a whimsical island themed name and matching gorgeous color, I loved them upon trying them and even played with stamping them.
Each of the swatches shown is two coats of polish and one coat of Seche Vite Quick Dry Top Coat unless otherwise noted, while some of them could go on in one coat my nails are darker and stained from using some gold polishes recently so I needed two to cover the tips. “Parasail in Puerto Rico”
“Parasail in Puerto Rico” is a beautiful coral creme, this did cover my nail in one coat, but I tossed on two anyway. I love this color it’s light and fun and definitely makes a splash.
“Bungee Jump in The Bahamas”
“Bungee Jump in The Bahamas” is a beautiful pastel teal, you could probably describe it as mint colored almost although I feel like it’s not as green as a true mint color is. This color is adorable and my second favorite of the set.
“Snorkel in St. Thomas”
“Snorkel in St. Thomas” is a beautiful sky blue that looks much lighter in bright light almost a pale sky blue, this is the only polish in the set that I would say definitely takes two coats. It went on very light originally for me, while the others could cover in one coat this one has to have two.
“ATV in Aruba”
“ATV in Aruba” is a a beautiful fuschia, I tried this one out last, but I loved the color the best of the bunch it was absolutely gorgeous, and I always fall hard for a pretty pink.
Overall the entire collection is beautiful and they are perfect cremes, I haven’t tested their water marbling ability, but it is definitely on my to-do list as I feel like they would make a gorgeous water marbled mix. If you haven’t already snagged it I definitely would suggest this collection as one to add if you light the bright pastels, these are perfect Summer shades, and I know I’ll be wearing them come the warmer season.
