My Road To Polish Con Picks

The Polish Convention is just around the corner quite literally as it is tomorrow in Chicago! So for today I have my picks of the polishes I ordered from the Road to Polish Con. The Road to Polish Con is done week for several weeks leading up to Polish Con the makers were assigned a week and made a custom polish for it. Then they could be purchased by anyone whether you were attending the event or not, during this round they had 3 makers a week featured versus the 2 makers a week during the New York Road to Polish Con. I had others I was interested in, but want to see at the convention first, so I only got ones that called to me originally. I’m so glad I snagged a few though as the makers will not be able to make the Con now and if I had missed out I wouldn’t have gotten them at all! So this is just those six that I picked up and liked, after the con this weekend if I snag some more I might do another post with those but that is all up in the air.

If you missed out on any of these and are also going to miss the convention you can check in on the Polish Convention Facebook Group where there is a “Polish Fairy” thread you can post in to try and get someone willing to purchase and send the polishes to you. They can even do it right from the convention as a shipping station will be provided there as well.

Note: Not all of these will be at the con, it is up to the individual makers if they had stock left, or over pour, and they decided that individually.

Now that all that technical information is out of the way, let’s get into seeing all of the pretties. The polishes will be shown and then the makers shops linked underneath each, this is being done a bit differently than my usual swatch posts because it includes a plethora of polish and makers rather than one brand and collection.

Each of the swatches shown has the number of coats of polish required listed and one layer of Top Coat from Glisten & Glow unless otherwise noted. All images are shown under natural sunlight bulbs as well. To watch the live swatch click here.

Silver Bullet

“Silver Bullet” is Colors by Llarowe‘s contribution to the Road to Polish Con, unfortunately Colors by Llarowe had to drop out of the Con, but are using the LE’s and VIP polish shades they had for it to raise funds for relief efforts from the hurricanes and the fires recently. So definitely visit her shop to check those out. This is a gorgeous silvery/bullet grey linear holographic that went on smoothly and sooooo sexily in just two coats. This is definitely a stunner!

Mystic Blue

“Mytic Blue” is Cupcake Polish‘s contribution to The Road to Polish Con, over pour of this one will be available at the convention. It is a blue linear holographic with hints of green shimmer. This goes on in two easy coats and is smooth, however I noticed with one layer of top coat it seemed to have a minor texture so I threw down a second very very thin layer of top coat. I hadn’t noticed that the first time I swatched this so yay for re-try’s.

Odyssey II

“Odyssey II” is Different Dimension‘s contribution to The Road to Polish Con, over pour of this one will be available at the convention. It is a gorgeous bright pink linear holographic with hints of copper shimmers. This goes on in two easy coats although it could go on in one easily if you don’t have super defined nail tips like mine. I may use this in my Con mani, but I’m not entirely sure yet on what I’m doing for it, I’ve not quite finalized it.

Mag Money

“Mag Money” is the Don Deeva Polish‘s contribution to The Road to Polish con, over pour of this I think will be available at the convention however don’t quote me on that one. This is a beautiful deep green linear holographic. I’m not even a big fan of greens and this one caught my eye so I snagged it. This goes on in two easy coats and only required one layer of top coat to be smooth.

Spirit of Chicago

“Spirit of Chicago” is Glisten & Glow‘s contribution to The Road to Polish Con, over pour of this will be available at the convention. It is a deep indigo purple linear holographic with a hint of blue shimmer to it. This goes on easy in two coats, and seems to have a small hint of silver in certain lighting.

From The Pier, With Love

“From The Pier, With Love” is Painted Polish‘s contribution to The Road to Polish Con, over pour of this will be available at the convention, I think – I was unable to find if it would be for sure. It i a gorgeous blue linear holo with some gorgeous purple shimmer to it. This goes on beautifully in just two coats and has holo off the charts in it.

These are all absolutely gorgeous and I am so excited to get to buy tons of polish and meet new makers and have an absolute blast at The Polish Convention tomorrow!
