Just Like A Dream Trio by Femme Fatale Cosmetics

The Just Like A Dream Trio from Femme Fatale Cosmetics is a three piece set featuring blogger collaboration polishes. This is a gorgeous mix of polish types and finishes including a stunning thermal in the bunch that is absolutely gorgeous.

This trio unfortunately is only available in the set from one place, Hypnotic Polish, they do ship to the U.S. though. Anywhere else has one or two shades individually at the moment but not the set in it’s entirely, for pieces you can visit the Femme Fatale Cosmetics US and AU sites, as well as Live Love Polish.

Each of the swatches shown is three thin coats of polish and one top coat of Seche Vite Quick Dry Top Coat unless otherwise noted. All images are shown under natural sunlight bulbs as well. To watch the live swatch click here.

Dropping Through Sky

“Dropping Through Sky” is a gorgeous seafoam color with a beautiful pink shift to it and is also completely packed with holographic microglitter throughout and slightly larger little holographic glitter bits. This one is a definite stunner and I love it, I didn’t expect to though as it is a very light color and usually they just don’t suit me very well, but this one went over amazingly well.

Interstellar Burst

“Interstellar Burst” is a deep turquoise color with bits of holographic microglitter and then larger hexagonal bits of red/orange glitters throughout. It also has some mid sized hexagonal iridescent flakies as well. This does go on with a bit of a texture even with one layer of top coat, so I definitely suggest using two layers of top coat.

End of the Storm

“End of the Storm” is a thermal polish that in it’s cool state is a blue with sort of purple hint throughout and bits of large and small gold glitter along with holographic microglitter. This thermal is much more receptive to its cool state than the warm state despite warming my hands in water it would still shift to the cool almost immediately. This only took two coats to be completely opaque as well.

Overall I loved all of these polishes, I do wish the thermal had been a little more receptive to changing towards its warm state but thermals are always a little hit or miss for me. “Dropping Through Sky” is definitely a favorite for me though I love the hint of pink shimmer throughout in the light and the way it just seems to shine. As stated above these are only still available in a trio from Hypnotic Polish, but you can find some of the shades individually on different stockists. I’ll list some of the ones I’ve found below, the link to the trio on Hypnotic Polishis listed above as well.

  1. Such gorgeous colors! Just like you my favorite has to be Dropping through sky. Very pretty and so perfect for spring.

  2. I love the detail you put into your swatches and reviews. It’s so much more appealing for people to read compared to other blogs I’ve stumbled across

  3. I’m rethinking my slow-buy with all the femme fatale releases you’re swatching and posting! That exchange rate, though… Weather is also, uh, random at best (we still get snow now and then).

  4. You’ve totally convinced me to buy End Of Storm from your YouTube video of the swatches! I’m not a gold kinda girl, but I’m going for it! Lol

  5. I really need to try this brand…that thermal is unreal… Thermals never last long for me though.. they always wind up dead. =(

  6. End of the Storm has such a pretty base colour, and pairs so well with gold! The flakies in Interstellar Burst are really interesting too… I’m not fond of the way they pair with the base, color-wise, but they layer soooo well!

  7. “End of the storm” combines 3 of my fave things ever – the color purple, holo microglitter and thermal reaction. Lawd, what could be better! Gorgeous polishes, gorgeous swatches!!

  8. Dropping through the sky is gorgeous.. I’m a sucker for seafoam colors because they match my eyes.

    Beautiful photos.

  9. WOW — I’m in love with both of these! I’d not heard of this indie before. Will be checking them out for more! Awesome pics — as a photographer I know how hard it can be to get those shots — KUDOS!
