The Extreme Weather Collection from Nine Zero Lacquer is a beautiful rainbow of six jelly polishes each rich with color and sprinkled in with a dash of silver holographic microflakies. This set is stunning and I’m in love with it, I love anything rainbow so this with the flakies and the sparkle and shine had me snagging it right away. It does not disappoint either, I’m already planning manis around this set and have not one but a few favorites, if it’s even possible to have just a few and not love them all. These are all available at this time in the full collection and individually from the site linked above.
Each of the swatches shown is two thin coats of polish and one top coat of HK Girl Top Coat from Glisten & Glow unless otherwise noted. All images are shown under natural sunlight bulbs as well. To watch the live swatch click here.
“Heatwave” is a red jelly base filled with the beautiful glitter microflakies and the silver holographic microflakies. This is stunning and on the nail is more of a deep pink than a true red, but is still flawless, it has such a bright shimmer and is so beautiful in different lighting. It can be bright or dark and deep and has the hint of shimmering silver at every turn. This is definitely one of the top ones in this collection for me.
“Solar Flare” is an orange jelly base filled with the beautiful glitter microflakies and the silver holographic micoflakies. This goes on really well in just two coats which was a pleasant surprise I definitely expected it to take three as it went on a bit sheer originally. It has the same shifting color depth quality as “Heatwave” and is a stunner for sure.
“Lightning” is a yellow jelly base filled with the same beautiful microflakies and the silver holographic microflakies. This is shown in three coats, you might still see some nail tip with the three coats so I would advise going with a nude creme underneath or white to make it go on in fewer coats and not show that nail tip. This is a very bright yellow, but it doesn’t wash out the silver holographic microflakies at all like I expected it to. It’s definitely a beautiful sunny yellow and the shimmer just makes it pop.
“Windstorm” is a green jelly base filled with the same beautiful microflakies and the silver holographic microflakies. It is very gorgeous and not too dark, but not too bright either it’s the perfect sparkly spring time green. I don’t even like wearing green but this one is soooo pretty, I just love the entire rainbow that is this collection and this one nails the color perfectly not too bright to where it’s lime, but not so dark it’s forest it’s a pretty true green. Shown above is three coats.
“Monsoon” is a blue jelly base filled with microflakies and the silver holographic microflakies as well. It is a beautiful almost ocean blue and went on really well in just two easy coats to become opaque. This is one of my other tops in this collection it makes the top three just because it is sooooooo pretty and a perfect cerulean blue. This went on in two easy coats, it looked like it might not when I was throwing down the first coat, but it did.
“Hailstone” is a purple jelly base with microflakies and the silver holographic microflakies as well. This is my favorite of the entire collection, it went on in two very smooth easy coats and is a gorgeous deep purple with such a magnificent shimmer from the silver holographic microflakies. It blows me away and I don’t want to take it off, I actually put it on my other hand as well when I finished up swatching everything.
Overall this entire collection is bright and stunning and absolutely perfect for Spring and Summer with its flashy shimmery colors. I loved how perfectly these colors made a rainbow that I was even inspired to start a rainbow collab on Instagram just to get to use them all! They are gorgeous and available either in the entire six polish set, or individually from the shop linked above. Jess really made them gorgeous and they’re some of the smoothest jellies I’ve ever used. They went on extremely easy and in very good thin coats, so snag these and welcome in Spring/Summer!
